William “Bill” McLeod will be the type of judge Houston needs now

October 3, 2018 By Egberto Willies

William “Bill” McLeod is a friend of mine. From the day I met this man I knew he was special. And many of the activists that work with him are energized by the passion he exerts for politics but above all justice for all. Bill will be the type of judge every Harris County voter should be supporting at the polls to ensure a fair judicial bench.

Full disclosure: William “Bill” McLeod is a supporter of Politics Done Right & EgbertoWillies.com. He did not ask me to write this or share this.

William “Bill” McLeod, candidate for County Civil Court at Law #4 judge, life experiences gives the empathy necessary to be a fair judge to all. And that type of judicial temperance is what not only the Houston area but the entire country needs.

Bill appeared several times on Politics Done Right (here, here). He used his time to GOTV and to enlighten both voters and activists about the hard job ahead. When Democrats win every elected seat in Harris County, Bill’s efforts would have been instrumental in that achievement. We cannot underestimate the work of all the activists beaten the pavement, going door to door to ensure we find all of those voters who have been left by the wayside for too long.

Harris County is lucky to have Indivisible Houston, Swing TX-7 Left, Pantsuit Republic Houston, Battleground Texas, Harris Country Democratic Party among many other organizations hitting the pavement, issues, and more to ensure a big win.

I spent several hours stuffing door hangers with candidate information, a Get-Out-The-Vote organizing and Know-The-Candidate effort that Bill put together. The man had north of 50 people putting together several thousand door hangers. Bill was thankful to those who showed up to do their civic duty. But he was upset that more did not show. Bill, IT WAS A FRIDAY AFTERNOON. That was a great turnout.
