The President continues to stoke our fears. He wants us to fear the brown people strolling on foot to the United States attempting to escape the violence and oppression partially caused by unintended consequences of our policies. Normally a story of humanity walking one thousand miles or more to freedom would be a positive story except in Trump’s America.
Most of the violence, physical, mental, and otherwise are occurring from perpetrators within. Here is the reality; the school shootings that are mainstays in America, which occur several times a year are perpetrated by homegrown terrorists. And so are killers who continued to murder dozens in our churches and synagogues over the last several years.
But the politicians supported by the NRA do not want us focused on where the problems really are. Why? Because the deaths of these innocent Americans are a cost of doing business for their benefactors to continue their high profits.
Fear not the immigrant as they just want a job and the opportunity that their kids would have a better life. They want the same thing every American wants and what those who founded this country wanted though many of the founders did it on the backs of and with the blood of the others.
Americans indeed should be fearful of the real terror afflicting them, the policies that Republicans would continue to institute if they grant them another term. The number of people that will die, get sick, go bankrupt, or live in a state of ill-being will continue to rise.
The state of terror one will live is not knowing if month to month, year to year, they can count on having health care. The fear that the water one drinks or the air one breathes will ultimately make them sick is terrorizing. The fear that college is now unattainable with life delegated to mediocrity. The fear a system not conducive to having children because working and paying for childcare for many are mutually exclusive. And we could go on with a myriad more of these virtual acts of terrorism from within.
This is a simplistic but real notion of what continual Republican rule under this sect of Republicans means. We must not allow the smoke and mirrors to detract from the reality of the terror we really face. Midterm 2018 should tell us much. Are Americans ready to take responsibility for their future as they buck ideology for the better good of us all or will they succumb to the infantile utterings of a President that is a marketing genius but an intellectual child?

It’s amazing how Trump hypes up the migrant caravan like they are a bunch of marauding soldiers, needing thousands of troops at the Mexican border to protect us from them taking over our country! Kind of difficult to be worried sick about poor men, women, children and families wanting to take over the United States, when they are simply looking for a safer place where they can get a job and take care of their families! They too would like to work and feel safe, have good water to drink and clean air to breathe! It doesn’t seem to dawn on the President and other Republicans the number of mass murders which are being committed each day by our own home-grown terrorists!
