The Right Wing Media-Industrial complex has decided to make Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex their poster woman to bash on the Democratic side, specifically on the Progressive Left. The Progressive base, as well as the Progressive Independent Media, cannot allow them to get away with it. They must counter in real time.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will need a strong posse
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is very good at defending herself no matter how many spears they throw. She’ll need help as they target more effectively.
The Right Wing knows that it is not about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the person. It is about a movement for which she has become the personification. Ocasio-Cortez can articulate the humanity and morality of Progressive policies aptly from a position of youth, gender, and ethnic diversity. It is a scary proposition that she may activate Millennials, the largest voting group.
The Right and Corporatist Democrats have reason to fear. The majority of millennials reject capitalism. While they do not like either the Republican or Democratic Party, they lean Progressive and vote much more Democratic.
The Powell Memo may have affected Baby Boomers but much less so millennials. They are independent thinkers and generally accepts little at face value. When they decide to become a politically active demographic, their force will be unparalleled.
In their attempt to destroy Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with a sort of marginalization and disregard of her message, the Right hopes to not only marginalize an ascending icon of the Progressive movement but squash the wants and desires of an entire generation. They believe that would kill millennials spirits forcing them to accept whatever crumbs the Plutocracy offers.
The Progressive base and Independent Media cannot allow that to happen. They must be proactive making the Progressive policy case succinctly, effective, unabashedly, and with conviction. Just as important, they must be ready to refute the lies not only with facts but with a personalization narrative different constituencies can understand given the message should resonate with their life experiences.
