Reason GOP latched on to Evangelical leaders starts with letter F

One of the reasons I’ve stopped being very hard, dismissive, or completely condescending to our Right Wing brothers and sisters who continue their allegiance to Trump is that I understand their pathology. But beyond that, there is another driving force, and the Republicans seized on that to accomplish their destructive policies using the Evangelical Leaders.

Evangelical Leaders use faith against their own

The Right Wing uses the same tactics our government uses overseas to control; work with singular persons who control a group. Evangelical Leaders are the GOP’s dictators. While these leaders are not dictators, they have a more potent weapon than dictators do; FAITH.

Republicans understood one thing about the Evangelical Christians. Faith plays a significant role in their lives. Moreover, their belief in a male-dominated hierarchy, while unspoken, plays out with their voting patterns. It is one of the reasons messages of female empowerment are nor persuasive to them. It also why it was not difficult for them to excuse Donald Trump for his sexism and misogyny. It is true that President Obama would never get that luxury because it would be used to mask the real reason for their contempt.

Unfortunately for the Trump voter, the Republican voters, their spiritual leaders are profiting from misleading their entire flock. One hopes that if there is an afterlife, that they will pay dearly for the deception.

As a Progressive activist, I have chosen not to allow the deceptions of the Evangelical Leaders to go unanswered out of fear of taking on that third rail, religion. Additionally, I will try to find ways to reach these folks. Many think it is a waste of time that we should use for something else. It is not.
