He loves Pete Buttigieg for President but can’t get over dance with his husband at the inauguration

April 20, 2019 By Egberto Willies

It is easy to demonize a Progressive who does not toe the line of all our their values. That reality does not engender change. Allowing everyone space to grow is how we solve most social problems. And yes, even Progressives have race & gender issues. This Pete Buttigieg story is probative.

A listener to Politics Done Right called the show. He loves everything about Pete Buttigieg. But he had one major concern. He does not believe that neither he nor the country is ready to see a a new male president and his husband dancing at the inaugural ball.

He likes Pete Buttigieg but …

Instead of going high and mighty with the caller, we discussed his prejudices. The intent of the discussion was not to accuse or demean or belittle. The goal was just for the caller and listeners with similar views to examine why they felt the way they did.

Please leave a message below with your stories, prejudices, are any comment that can add to the discussion. This is something that unless we examine, progress will be slow and at worse, it will reverse.
