I heard the headline. A woman, TV Show Host E. Jean Carroll, accused the President of rape in her new book, What Do I We Need Men For? A Modest Proposal. I thought it would be the story of the day. It wasn’t.
How far has the country gone into a sort of degeneration in which these types of events no longer surprise us? Is the just a Trump phenomenon or a new normal?
The assault Ms. Carroll describes is so graphic that I would prefer not to write about it in its entirety this blog post. One can read about it here. Suffice it to say it seems to follow Trump’s modus operandi.
I try to push him off with my one free hand — for some reason, I keep holding my purse with the other — and I finally get a knee up high enough to push him out and off and I turn, open the door, and run out of the dressing room.
The whole episode lasts no more than three minutes. I do not believe he ejaculates. I don’t remember if any person or attendant is now in the lingerie department. I don’t remember if I run for the elevator or if I take the slow ride down on the escalator. As soon as I land on the main floor, I run through the store and out the door — I don’t recall which door — and find myself outside on Fifth Avenue. And that was my last hideous man. The Donna Karan coatdress still hangs on the back of my closet door, unworn and unlaundered since that evening.
It is hard to believe that an accusation this serious was not taking a bit more seriously. Yes, President Trump was asked a few questions. But ultimately the story never got the traction it would have had the President had the name, Obama.

Terminate says
The degeneration is a result of mainstream media going full activism and reporting false stories and conspiracies without ever issuing a correction. In a sense they have essentially proven Trump right that they are fake news. This ultimately leads to people not believing anything the press says. Further the metoo movement fraught with false accusations has taught us all that no you don’t need to believe the victim. You do however need to take them seriously and investigate it though.
This new accusation just further goes to show how out of touch the media and many on the far left have become from the common voter though. I say this because not only are they shocked at the lack of outrage (thanks to a misplaced belief that the majority cares about the lefts ideas of social justice) but they also forgot that if this proves to be false it will backfire on them and hand him the election as well as public disdain for democrats just like the fakes accusation against Kavanough did.
As an independent that voted for Gary Johnson let me tell you. None of this nonsense focuses on trying to impeach a man that only has a year and a half left is winning me or other voters over to vote democrat. If anything it is pushing more voters to look at third parties. This means an almost certain re-election for a guy that can’t keep his mouth shut or his Twitter account silent. If Democrats actually wanted to win they should be passing bills to help the voters rather than non binding resolutions condemning a moron. I don’t like trump and won’t vote for him but bar a reversal I won’t be voting for a democrat either as they literally have nothing to show for or offer. Even if everything they passed was vetoed at least they would be showing what they want to do but they can’t even do that.
Anyway I’m ranting sorry. Let me just leave this with if he is re-elected it will be thanks to an activist media and radical democrats on the far left that rather than set an example can’t keep their mouths shut like the orange man they despise.
