Russian involvement in the American election must be understood.

by Torry Mercer

Like with any good detective work to solve a crime, any discussion of how Trump, Russia, Assad, Hillary, and Tulsi are connected to dirty deeds needs to start here, with the motive for the crime: Russian motivation in the last election. Like any good detective, we start with questions. The really important question is why did the Russians help to swing the election for Trump?

We may have a cartoon president here in the USA, but Russia has a highly trained and disciplined ex-KGB agent turned oligarch running their show. Putin did not want to sew chaos in America like some cartoon villain. He had one very specific goal, and Trump was simply the stepping-stone: Russia didn’t want Trump to be elected as much as they wanted to prevent a Hillary Clinton presidency.

Everyone needs to think outside the USA on this one. What was Putin’s main priority beginning in March of 2011?

Russian motivation

Essential we understand real Russian Motivation in the 2016 Election

The Russian’s #1 priority was to keep their navy base at Tartus, on the coast of Syria, the Russian’s only warm water port, conveniently located in the eastern Mediterranean. If Clinton had won the election she would have done a no-fly zone in Syria, the Assad regime would have collapsed, and Putin would be in a much smaller box with no warm water ports.

Any analysis that does not lay this out is amateur BS. This is the essential backstory for understanding not just Russia’s motivation, but all the players on this stage, including Trump, Hillary, and Tulsi. Any analysis that does not factor in these motives is like coming into a crime novel and starting at chapter nine.
