82-year-old woman sent intruder to hospital. Chose the wrong “Grandma?”

November 25, 2019 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

I’m sitting in front of the TV eating some grits before getting started and I see a flash on the TV. 82-year-old woman, intruder, hospital. Double take. Did I see that right?

I sure did. So here is the story as related by the woman.

The 82-year-old woman showed her chops

Willie Murphy, the 82-year-old woman, said that the intruder that as she got ready for bed, the intruder began banging her door saying he was sick. She would not let him in but called the police.

Before she knew it, he broke into her home. Murphy is a powerlifter. Yes, an 82-year-old who power lifts.

She picked up a table and started hitting the intruder. She said it broke. She then started poking him with the metal legs.

As if that was not enough, she started jumping on him. After she realized he was down, she through shampoo in his face likely knowing it would disable his vision.

According to WHAM,

“And when he’s down,” she continued, “I’m jumping on him.” She says, once the suspect was injured, she ran and grabbed a bottle of shampoo – and started pouring it on him.

“I grabbed the shampoo,” she said. “Guess what? He’s still on the ground. In his face, all of it, the whole thing.” “I got the broom,” she continued. “He’s pulling the broom. I’m hitting him with the broom.”

Finally, officers arrived. The man was sent to the hospital and Murphy was applauded by first responders. “The officers that came wanted to go on my front porch and take selfies with me,” she said.

Friday, she returned to the YMCA and got a hero’s welcome. For the record, Murphy says she can deadlift 225 pounds. She hopes this story inspires people of all ages.
