Supporter can’t think of anything Trump has done well

January 18, 2020 By Egberto Willies

A reporter asked a purported MAGA-hat-wearing Trump supporter what has Donald Trump done well. After stuttering and stammering, he could come up with nothing. He just loves the guy.

Trump supporter stutters for something he’s done well.

I came onto this story a bit late. The Independent reported the following.

It’s come to something when even your own fans can’t think of anything you’ve done that’s actually… good.

Yet that’s where we’re at, according to this video which shows a man in a Trump 2020 hat at the recent Ohio rally trying painfully hard to think of something he could publicly praise the president for and failing miserably.

A reporter asked:

What’s something that you believe the president has done well?

To which he replies:

Uhh, hm… mmm, I… I… I just… I’m not really sure.

Pretty relatable, until he concludes:

I just support him.

We can only speculate as to what popped into his head when he was asked the question.
Locking children in cages? Exacerbating climate change? Getting impeached? Potentially starting a war with a nuclear power? It seems understandable that the chap would be at a loss for words.

This Trump supporter displays the behavior so many of them share. It shows a typical yearning to belong to something they believe they’ve been denied. The thing is, they never had it and the folks they are blaming for their condition are the ones playing them like a broken piano.

It is not easy to reach these people without first giving them a reason to listen over and over again. The relapse rate is huge but like any addict, persistence is required.

We must maximize empowering our low hanging fruit. But we must also work on these
