Adam Schiff did not pull any punches as he showed Donald Trump's level of corruption, unlike any previous president. This video clip alone should shock every Republican.
Adam Schiff unloads on Trump
Republicans for the longest time have falsely prided themselves on being the Party that valued our national security. They claimed to be the ones protecting us against our adversaries. Donald Trump went on stage next to one of our adversaries and all but professed a sort of allegiance to them, Russia & Putin, instead of with his own government.
Had any Democratic President done that, the media, the GOP, and everyone in between would be up in arms and excoriating them. This has not happened in any great detail.
It took an impeachment trial that the leaders of the Democratic Party were anathema to, to finally show the American people the degeneracy of the President, the President's administration, and the thuggish cabal he surrounds himself with all of the times. We can only hope that enough Republicans in the Senate see the danger that this president represents not only to America but to the rest of the world.
And here is an apropos sentiment from a Daily KOS staff.
Rep. Adam Schiff took time away from wiping the floor of the U.S. Senate with Donald Trump’s weak-sauce arguments, to go in front of cameras outside of the Senate to … wipe the floor with the president’s weak-sauce arguments. Speaking alongside the other House Impeachment managers, Rep. Schiff wanted to disabuse the Republican-media narrative that the reason there are zero witnesses being allowed into the Senate’s trial is because of some kind of legitimate claim on Trump’s behalf of executive privilege. Calling it a “camouflage” and explaining that the Chief Justice has already been empowered to make those determinations in the trial, Schiff very adeptly and succinctly debunks what will likely be a large part of the upcoming Trump defense.
Donald Trump should be removed from office lest he feels empowered to do even worse. Those who continue to empower him will reap what they've sowed.
