A few months ago I wrote a piece titled “Democrats must stop lying to ourselves: Joe Biden will not beat Trump IMHO” not as a hit piece but a calculated warning. I stated the following.
I sometimes wonder why the Democratic Establishment spend so much money on overpaid analysts. The reality is that when we win, it is in spite of their general advice. Joe Biden is supposed to be the guy that Donald Trump fears the most. It is yet another ruse.
If Joe Biden were to make it through the primaries, Trump and his machine will slaughter him. There is already a plausible narrative that will ostensibly skim both black and women voters. Worse, when one looks at the 2018 election and where the new Democratic voters are emanating from, he does not fit the profile. The one saving grace is that history is not kind to the frontrunner in fairly unrigged Democratic Primaries.
Many of us believe that Trump and his cabal are playing around with Democrats. They want Democrats to believe that they fear Joe Biden. It seems like the party has already to obliged. The thing is, they all know the reasons why Biden had never won a primary. He is a severely flawed candidate but they know Americans have short memories till they are presented with it again.
Well, Jimmy Dore did just that. As unkind as it may seem, it is nice compared to what Trump and his cabal likely have on Joe.
And here is what else Republicans have started cueing up about the party’s standard-bearer. When black folks here it in Biden’s voice, do you think they will enthusiastically go vote for this guy? At least Bernie got arrested for the cause.
Understand this. The Plutocracy is doing fine under Trump. They are raking in billions. Progressives got real traction in 2018. Absent being scared of demanding the right to the progressive policies they want, Americans would elect the person that offers it to them. But when you have a corporate media indoctrinating Americans on what they cannot have and who would be the strongest candidate against Trump, they panic into acquiescing to fear.
What Americans should realize is that the Plutocracy, it’s media, and both of its establishments, do not care whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump wins. They just want to ensure that a progressive who will bring honesty and fairness to the system is an impossibility. The defense industrial complex, the healthcare industrial complex, the prison industrial complex, and all the others without the necessity of too much coordination, understands what needs to be done. After all, the plan was laid out decades ago in the Powell Memo.
