Democratic Party Leader & South Carolina Representative Jim Clyburn wants the DNC to shut down the primary, cancel the debate, and declare Biden winner.
Clyburn: Shutdown the debates. Biden is the winner
“I think when the night is over,” Clyburn said. “Joe Biden will be the prohibitive favorite to win the Democratic nomination, and, quite frankly, if the night ends the way it has begun, I think it is time for us to shut this primary down, it is time for us to cancel the rest of these debates — because you don’t do anything but get yourself in trouble if you continue in this contest when it’s obvious that the numbers will not shake out for you.”
Is this not an admission that he is fearful of Biden’s performance in a debate? We should want to see that. We should want to see if Biden can handle the pressure when asked tough questions. How will he answer the questions I asked in my previous post titled “Every Bernie voter wants to ask every Biden voter the following.“?
It is clear that Trump will triangulate Biden likely by going to his left flank given that is where Biden’s voters are giving all the exit polls. Trump does not have to do anything to continue getting the vote from his cult. As such he has the freedom to cannibalize the Centrists by appealing to the left and that is exactly what he will do.
The president has many new headwinds, an economy that will likely be in free fall and COVID-19. But a weak candidate firmly occupying the mythical center can be picked off through effective triangulation.

I fully support Mr Clyburn’s suggestion – conditionally.
I’ll support it when I am elected god-king and Emperor.
That’ll prove entertaining as I then declare myself an atheist, as I cannot find myself able to believe in myself.
Still, his point has merit and since abandoning those supporting another candidate don’t matter, I sincerely hope he doesn’t mind his name tattooed onto the second term of Trump – for the same damned reason as last time.
