This Texas resident torches Texas Governor Greg Abbott for his dereliction of duty which will end up killing Texans. It is not enough he along with the GOP has committed voluntary manslaughter on Texans by denying them the Medicare Expansion to the Affordable Care Act in a state with the highest uninsured in the country at over 1 million innocent Texan Americans. ~Editor

Remember Stacey Abrams from the Georgia Legislature? The woman who ran against GOP Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, who was busy purging the Georgia voter registration lists? Remember? Kemp beat her for the governorship. He cheated and got enough Democrats deleted from the voter rolls in Georgia to beat Abrams! What a guy!
Texas Governor Abbott, are you listening.
Governor Kemp, until yesterday, refused to lock down Georgia.
When I was a kid in SE Tennessee, we used to drive to the Bradenton/Sarasota area in Florida to visit my aunt and uncle and enjoy Lido Beach.
Georgia, geographically. Is the largest state east of the Mississippi. It has large rural areas.
We’d stop in Albany, GA, a fairly small town in SW Georgia at the local Howard Johnson motel as a half way point. I loved the swimming pool at that motel!
Today, Albany, GA is a serious hotspot of Covid-19. Infectious disease specialists think kids from Florida beaches on spring break, brought this horror to Albany, on their way home.
Yesterday Governor Kemp FINALLY locked down the state. He was apparently refusing to do so until the White House told him to. Meanwhile, the White House attitude is a “federalist” attitude. That is, let each state decide what is best for itself.
That does not work in the case of a pandemic. States are not isolated entities. People cross state lines. Asymptomatic people, not knowing they are sick and able to infect others, are crossing state lines and doing just that. Albany, Georgia, a small, rural town, is a great example of this. Spring-breakers from out of state, brought this plague there. The only way to get control without the hundreds of millions of test kits is to lock down the nation. EVERY STATE.
And Kemp’s stated excuse for not acting till 3 weeks after he should have?
“I just learned yesterday that people who don’t have any symptoms can infect others.”
Really Guv? REALLY? Are you an ignorant fool, or WHAT? Or is it a “cover your ass” statement to hide the fact that your entire political fate was till now, resting on kissing Donald Trump’s ass and waiting for Trump to tell you what to do?
So here we have a GOP Governor following the now super right-wing GOP Party Line of federalist policies, waiting for our “central government”, Donald Trump, to tell him what to do. And Trump wasn’t doing that, adhering to federalist policies.
The result? Thousands will die.
Are you listening, Texas Governor Greg “Texis” Abbott? Yeah, YOU. You are the instate version of federalist policy, but only when you wannabe. When cities and counties make decisions you don’t like, you simply issue executive orders, overruling them. When they do what you want, you tout how you leave things to local discretion.
Well “Texis”, Texas is a massively bigger version of Georgia. Georgia has Atlanta, Athens (a college town), Augusta and Savannah and Columbus. It also has a city of over 300,000, Chattanooga, TN, right on its northern state line. Texas has monster size cities. Houston geographically like Los Angeles in area, population equivalent to Chicago, if not bigger. Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex almost the same, San Antonio a huge population, and lots of smaller cities including Corpus Christi, El Paso, Midland, Lubbock and Amarillo. Traffic and transportation flows to, from, and between thes cities and rural towns.
And then there is your city of residence, “Governor “Texis”. Austin, Texas. Over a million people. Huge state government. The largest college student population in the state at the University of Texas. Guess what, “Texis”! A whole bunch of college students just came back from the beaches of Cabo and have tested positive. They unwittingly came home to bring Texas and you and me a special gift: death and destruction around us, Governor.
What have you done to prevent the spread of this disease?
- You ordered all entering Texas from Louisiana not to enter our state.or to quarantine for 14 days.. And how is this being enforced? It isn’t. You don’t have the police resources to enforce it. Even worse is the fact that you and our brilliant Lt Gov, Dan Patrick, have sent lots of these state troopers to the border with Mexico to keep out all those dangerous criminal hordes. (According to some Customs and Border Protection officers, mostly what those troopers do, stationed far from their homes around the state, is get in the way of CBP or sleep in their patrol cars.
- You countermanded Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s order that includes church buildings in preventing gatherings of large groups. Why did you do that? Pandering to the Religious Right. Keeping those preachers’ cash flow going. Keeping those votes. The only thing is, your probably setting up those worshippers for illness and potential death, or getting them infected so they can spread illness and death to others.
- Oh, and you used this dangerous crisis to keep all of us safe and protect the sanctity of “life”. You banned abortions. But you helped get people sick and further spread this disease by pandering to preachers and the religious right.
“Texis”, you are a killer. You aren’t interested in the lives of Texans. All you are interested in is pandering to your base. “Texis”, sadly you are in a wheel chair after a freak accident involving a tree. You’d think you’d have some empathy for others, but you don’t. You are simply a political power pig. You, Dan Patrick and indicted State Atorney General Ken Paxton. All you care about is keeping your political power. Even at the expense of Texans’ lives.
The majority of Texans have put you in office more than once. A lot of them are going to pay for it with their lives. As will others.
You are personally in the process of bringing hell on earth to Texas. Thanks, Governor “Texis”, Greg Abbott. Hell of a guy.
