Former Republican Strategist Steve Schmidt did not hold back as he blamed the president for thousands of deaths and the economic collapse.
Steve Schmidt lays into the Donald
Steve Schmidt appeared on The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell and went right into his truth-telling about Trump immediately after being asked about Trump’s reelection prospects.
“We didn’t imagine six weeks ago that we would see in the state of Texas hours-long lines by automobile of people,” Steve Schmidt said. “who were previously employed hard-working have never been on government assistance now having to line up for hours in their cars to feed their families. We don’t know what the consequences of this are going to be in any state.”
Steve then started calling out Trump.
“What we do know is this. Donald Trump ran on the promise of making America great again,” Schmidt said. “In the early stages of this, it was keeping America great. What he has brought with his incompetence, with his indecision, with his indifference is mass suffering, death, and economic collapse.”
But he went further. One hopes it is the tact his challenger would take.
“We have tens of thousands of Americans who will lose lives they didn’t have to,” Schmidt said. “We see an economic collapse that didn’t have to be. And we see every indication things will continue to get worse because of the ineptitude of the response. And that’s the president’s legacy heading into the reelection. He is the greatest disaster in the modern history of the country made worse by the ineptitudes, inefficiency, and confidence of the executive response.”
Like Nancy Pelosi recently, Steve Schmidt was not shy it placing the blame for the deaths of thousands of Americans on President Donald Trump. His callous disregard compounds the need to get rid of this unqualified poser.
