Black Amazon driver slammed to the ground by police officer in Detroit suburbs

June 11, 2020 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

If you continue to doubt that black skin is a clear and present danger to black men’s encounter with the police, here is another one. Even though it is clearly a case of racial profiling, once he was the cop was sure it was a legit delivery, all he had to do was to go on his way. But he wanted to do what many police officers want to do, ensure it is clear he is dominant in the encounter, the master.

Defund the police and create new security structures populated with moral human beings.

Police in a Detroit suburb are under fire after viral video emerged of an officer pinning a black Amazon delivery driver to the ground during an arrest after he had parked his delivery van on the wrong side of the street while delivering a package. The officer has reportedly been placed on paid leave while an internal investigation is under way.

New dash cam footage (below) released by the Warren Police Department shows the officer stopping Tuesday in a residential neighborhood to question the driver after pointing out he had parked along the curb on the residential street facing the wrong direction. The driver had stopped to deliver a package to a home and told the officer he worked for Amazon.

The encounter starts to go south when the driver continues to walk the package to the doorstep and the motorcycle officer dismounts and approaches him. The delivery driver objects to the officer, who repeatedly asks for his driver’s license, but at the point the driver does reach for his license, the officer puts hands on him and a struggle ensues. The driver can be heard screaming, “I’m getting my license out, bro!” several times before being taken to the ground and pinned down. Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said the officer asked the driver to show his license 11 times and urged the public not to treat it as a “bad cop” incident.

Welcome to the failed experiment, courtesy of innumerable misleaders and now, Trump.
Amazing he wasn’t shot dead, probably had neighbors ironed in on the lawless enforcement officer’s brainstem.
I’m using all of my moral fiber to resist arming up and exposing my revulsion.
    And I’m fucking exhausted.
