D.L. Hughley: Can’t be a black Trump supporter & be redeemable human

July 4, 2020 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Recently, actor and comedian, D.L. Hughley joined “The Clay Cane Show” and shared his feelings about the black Trump supporter.

Watch complete episodes here.

Host Clay Cane asked the actor what he thinks of failed actors, reality stars, and social media personalities becoming Trump supporters out of nowhere and asked “do you think that they’re brainwashed or do you think they know exactly what they’re doing, these black Trump supporters?”

D.L. Hughley responded stating: “I think you can be a black Republican and be a redeemable human being. You can’t be a black Trump supporter and be a redeemable human being. You can’t. It’s impossible to be humane and a black Trump supporter. It’s impossible to do that based on all the things he does and continues to do. The things he says and how detrimental he’s been. I can’t think of one black Trump supporter that I find redeemable in the most basic way. Name me one that isn’t bat shit crazy… name me one. Like, Diamonds and Silk or Kanye or Candace Owens — name me one that is even a slightly redeemable human being.”

It is hard to refute D.L. Hughley’s assessment. The answer is not difficult at all. The likes of Candace Owen are trading a lucrative financial windfall at the expense of an entire group of people. And that is not redeemable.

Hughley has become a very outspoken activist that is respected throughout the country for his candid commentary. He is using his platform to take the scab off of wounds to ensure real healing occurs as opposed to the superficial.
