July 17th, 2020 – The Lincoln Project’s latest video, “New,” lambasts the irony of Ivanka Trump, in her White House role solely due to the unbridled nepotism of her father, advising America’s jobless to simply “find something new.”
“It’s condescending and painfully ironic that as hard-working, everyday Americans find themselves unemployed because of Trump’s mishandling of this pandemic, his daughter Ivanka, who’s never gotten a job on her own merits or truly worked a day in her life, is patronizing their struggle, telling them just to ‘find something new,’” said Jennifer Horn, senior advisor of The Lincoln Project.
Due to the Trump Administration’s incompetence, the American economy has all but collapsed, with tens of millions of Americans currently out-of-work and many more fearful of returning due to the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19. As the virus surges once again because of hasty reopenings coerced by the administration, Americans need measured, empathetic leadership to provide reasonable, responsible solutions as we navigate this unprecedented crisis.
