It’s Out of Control: The Lincoln Project

July 23, 2020 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

July 23rd, 2020 – The Lincoln Project today released a new video, “Failure,” highlighting the last several months’ worth of President Trump’s often erratic and erroneous comments on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

As new daily cases continue to rise to double what they were in April, President Trump offered little guidance and support during his Tuesday briefing.

“President Trump is incapable of handling the multiple crises we face. Because of his failures, America, a country with 5% of the world’s population, has 25% of the world’s new coronavirus cases,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of The Lincoln Project. He continued, “We need a president who is ready and able to lead America.”

At yesterday’s briefing, President Trump said of the growing crisis, “that’s the way it is.” But Americans know this isn’t how it has to be. In fact, a new Washington Post/ABC News poll released over the weekend shows that voters would trust Joe Biden to handle the coronavirus crisis over Donald Trump by an astonishing 20-point margin.

The enemy of my enemy may well make an excellent transient ally, even without dealing with said transient ally, one merely lets the pressure off of said transient ally until they start swinging our way, then it’s pressure from hell on to send a message.
Lessons learned in counterterrorism, it works well in other fields as well.
Lessons learned in military strategy and especially tactics, “Never interrupt the adversary when he’s making a mistake”.

I’ve noticed the press not asking one obvious question on a mistake Trump made in speaking of his Montreal Cognitive Assessment. Doctors don’t do those as a matter of routine, something drives them to perform it.
What drove his physicians to perform that test? It most certainly isn’t something Trump would know of or about, save if he was intimately close to someone with declining faculties and frankly, do you honestly think he attended a single physician appointment with his father’s physician?
And with that assessment, there is no failure, merely a score of mental processing scopes, the only way to fail is if the patient is comatose or dead, either of which would probably result in a physician losing his or her medical license, as consciousness is required.
When unconscious, typically, the Glasgow Coma Score is assessed.
