More politicians must follow the lead of Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and call out the president for the harm that he has done in America that has led to violence.
Portland Mayor blasts President Trump
Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler addressed the recent shooting of a man during a protest that was made violent when pickup-trick-driving Trump supporters entered the area of peaceful protest. He did not hold back.
“Do you seriously wonder, Mr. President,” Mayor Ted Wheeler asked. “Why this is the first time in decades that America has seen this level of violence? It is you who have created the hate and the division. It is you who have not found a way to say the name of black people killed by police officers even as people in law enforcement have. And it is you who claimed that white supremacists are good people. Your campaign of fear is as anti-democratic as anything you have done to create hate and vitriol in our beautiful country. You have tried to divide us more than any other figure in modern history. And now you want me to stop the violence that you help create.”
Later asked about the president, the mayor responded with, “Support us or stay to hell out of the way.”
It is imperative that more politicians not refrain from calling out the president with his own words. One simply has to play his words are read his tweets to remind Americans about the evil the Trump represents.
CNN reported the murder addressed in the Press Conference as follows.
A person was shot and killed in downtown Portland Saturday night after an evening of violent clashes between Trump supporters and protesters denouncing police brutality.
Police have not released details about the victim, who they said was shot in the chest around 8:46 p.m. Saturday near Southwest Third Avenue and Southwest Alder Street. Previously, police said the shooting was near Southeast Third Avenue.
Authorities also have not provided any suspect information and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has first-hand video of the shooting to contact investigators.
Justin Dunlap, who witnessed the shooting and captured some of it on his Facebook live stream, said he “didn’t hear much lead up to it.”

I’ll escalate the situation one level higher. Wisconsin and Washington state retain a State Defense Force, which cannot be federalized.
If he wanders to either state, mobilize them and if he makes inflammatory statements, have the state, as backed up with the SDF, arrest him for inciting a riot and everything that the state attorney general can come up with.
The Secret Service are sworn law enforcement officers, they have to yield to local authorities in matters of local and state law, lest a number of highly unfortunate events follow, including full on civil war and no state in the nation respecting the Treasury Department ever again.
The SCOTUS already have decided that state law investigation and prosecution isn’t something that the federal government can halt, so precedent is on the side of that entire notional chain.
There’s another more proactive thing a state and community can do, refuse to provide law enforcement security and if he mobilizes a National Guard unit, have the governor immediately disband said unit.
It’s not as if we have either a proclaimed god-king or emperor and states, counties and communities must embrace and worship said royalty!
