Rachel Maddow did an excellent piece on President Trump’s support of herd immunity. She explains why it means Trump supports killing 2.15 million Americans.
I shortened the piece substantially by removing all the duplicating statements, even after adding my narrative.
Rachel Maddow exposes Trump’s herd immunity
Rachel Maddow did not mince her words as she chronicled the president’s path to taking the country to a form of herd immunity. To be clear, when immunologists speak about it, they assume that immunity is attained through vaccination, not by making everybody sick. To do it any other way is not only malpractice but voluntary manslaughter, given the mortality of COVID-19.
President Trump has always wanted Americans to stay on the job, go to church, go to school, play football. Even as he knew COVID-19 was more deadly than the flu, most people still lived. That is a gamble the president was always willing to take. And that is how he framed it with his limited vocabulary.
Trump likely brought on Dr. Scott Atlas to articulate herd immunity to give his position a scientific tone, however implausible. Sadly, for those who continue to believe in this president and follow his lead, many will end up dead.

Well, if we stopped all pregnancy testing, unwanted pregnancies and teen pregnancies would disappear!
Although, women having heart attacks and strokes would go up at the rate of eclampsia currently experienced…
Obviously, abortions would be a thing of the past as well. Totally win – win!
Or something.

I could, literally, go on all night on ways pregnancy can kill a woman. I can do the same with COVID-19, an illness that I refer to as “Now what?!”, due to the nonlinear progression of a constellation of symptoms that endanger life. Respiratory issues, then DIC, then cardiac issue, maybe the kidneys foul up, maybe a stroke, maybe part of the gut dies off…

Clotting factors get depleted in DIC, resulting counter-intuitively, increased random clotting inside of the blood vessels.
Oh, there are possible indicators that at least some patients can eventually defeat COVID-19, only to contract a different strain and end up in the hospital again. Additionally, it’s not certain that the current vaccine candidates are cross-strain protective.
And the fun thing for those quoting Sweden, Sweden acknowledges that herd immunity has failed, with only 2% of the population positive and immunity still uncertain.
