President Biden wants to be the “unity president.” Of course, unity requires that one is intentional in being respectful and compassionate with others. In that light, Biden laid down the gauntlet.
“I am not joking when I say this,” Biden said. “If you are ever working with me and I hear you treat a colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone; I promise you I will fire you on the spot, on the spot—no ifs, and, or buts.”
Biden then explains why he is intentional with his stance.
“Everybody, everybody, are entitled to be treated with decency and dignity,” Biden continued. “That is what we have been missing in a big way in the last four years.”
A clean break from every facet of Trump’s behavior is essential. We will have to de-normalize all that such a damaged person has made normal to too many.
