There is nothing like a prepared press secretary like Jen Psaki, who allows Fox News’ precocious reporter Peter Doocy to hang himself and get exposed as a shill for the Right-Wing.
Jen Psaki exposes a precocious reporter for what he is
Fox News Peter Doocy thought he would get one over Jen Psaki. Unfortunately for him, not only did she not play the game, she was more prepared than he was. Doocy attempted to use Richard Trumka’s critique about President Biden killing the Keystone XL pipeline.
“It did and will cost us jobs in the process,” Trumka said in the interview. “I wish he had paired that more carefully with the thing that he did second by saying here’s where we’re creating jobs.”
What Doocy left out that Psaki was ready for was the ringing endorsement for Joe Biden’s policy in the aggregate.
The AFL-CIO president said he thinks Biden realized he made a mistake by not jointly announcing job creation plans saying, “the next time the subject came up it was done the right way.”
Trumka said he didn’t know if Biden would shut down other pipelines, adding, “I know this, if he does he’ll pair it with job creation that will be greater than the number of jobs lost.”
When asked about the president’s plan to stop fracking on federal lands, Trumka said, “I’m sure if he promised to do it he probably will,” noting, “he promised to shut down XL.”
“He’s a man of his word,” the AFL-CIO president told Axios. “But he’s also promised to create jobs, good union jobs, and be the best union president that we’ve ever had. And I believe he’ll do that as well.”
I’ve been watching Jen for some time and she is very smooth. She remains truthful even when she is spinning a nonanswer. That is a Press Secretary that actually enhances a president’s agenda.
