Liz Cheney is not backing down. She went onto Trump’s Fox News and made it clear that Trump was trying to steal the election.
Liz Cheney tells the truth
Liz Cheney is not a liberal or Progressive. She is a true Conservative like her dad and others. We rarely agree with her on policies, but it is clear that her recent admonition of Donald Trump is something we share.
Cheney appeared on Fox News and had the following message for their audience.
“President Trump claimed for months that the election was stole,” Cheney said. “And then apparently set about to do everything he could to steal it himself.”
It took courage for Cheney to do what she did. She would clearly draw the wrath of Trump’s base, and she did. Politico reports the following.
Rep. Liz Cheney reiterated Sunday morning that she has no plans to resign from Congress — even after Republicans in her home state of Wyoming voted to censure her for voting to impeach Donald Trump.
“I’m not” going to step down, Cheney told Fox News’, Chris Wallace. “I think people all across Wyoming understand and recognize that our most important duty is to the Constitution. And as I’ve explained — and will continue to explain — to supporters all across the state and voters all across the state, the oath that I took to the Constitution compelled me to vote for impeachment.”
