I recently participated in a Living Room Conversations event discussing race, ethnicity, equality, hope, and other issues America must overcome.
Living Room Conversations on race & ethnicity
I was asked what would a society that values racial and ethnic differences look like. Specifically, what hope and fears come up. I had a response that I think you will find interesting.
The answer's core is that we have not yet seen the society we are aspiring for yet. Most importantly, it is attainable. After all, most people implicitly want harmony. Please listen to the entire clip. I am sure you will like it, and it will make you hopeful.
