A reporter attempted to castigate the Biden Administration about their tone in criticizing the Georgia voter suppression law. Jen Psaki blunted him.
Jen Psaki nicely rebuffed a silly reporter
The disingenuous reporter implied that the Biden administration should apologize for their response to the Georgia new voter suppression law. He mischaracterized the law as benign by spinning what the law actually said.
Jen Psaki would have none of it. In a very diplomatic, stern, but civil manner, she pulled the rug from under him.
The reporter then tried to use the words of the lying Georgia governor. Psaki summarily dismissed them.
“That’s actually not what the governor of Georgia has said,” The reporter interjected.
“Well, I think that is not based, in fact, what the governor of Georgia has said,” Psaki replied. “So, no. Our tone is not changing. We have concerns about the specific components of the package, including the fact that it makes it harder and more difficult for people to vote by limiting absentee options, by making it not viable, not possible for people to provide water to people who are in line, by not standardizing longer hours. So if you’re making it harder to vote, no, we don’t support that.”
I continue to be impressed by the fight I see in the Biden administration. While I may not agree with the 100% on policy, they are exuding a strength seldom seen by Democratic administrations and politicians.
