Don’t be outsmarted by Mitch McConnell once again
Democrats must listen to Mitch McConnel and the Republicans. They have no desire for compromise or desire to move the country forward. They want chaos to orchestrate a way back to power.
Mitch McConnell told America the priority of the Republican Party during the Obama administration.
“Our top political priority over the next two years,” McConnell said. “Should be to deny President Obama a second term.”
By now, everyone knows that Republicans had an organized effort to force gridlock with the expectation to defeat President Obama and take back the entire government. The Obama administration accomplished the Affordable Care Act, if even in a form that helps corporations, at least it did much good for many.
The GOP forced the Obama administration to leave too much on the table because of GOP sabotage. While President Obama could overcome the failures with his persona, aptitude, and outright competence, much of Congress was unable to do the same because of a special kind of timidity to lean into progress instead of a status quo.
Mitch McConnell once again came clean.
One Hundred Percent of our focus,” McConnell said. “Is on stopping this new administration.”
Will history repeat itself? Republicans led by Mitch McConnell are playing the same game. Hell, to them, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And if Democrats allow the GOP to sucker them, they will lose 2022 big. One hopes Democrats have bills ready for reconciliation now! There is no time to waste.
