Joe Biden has poll numbers that are falling. This is likely temporary and should be expected. Michael Moore’s take is apropos.
Michael Moore’s take on Joe Biden
Michael Moore, a Bernie supporter, gets it. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a few months ago, could not be clearer. She got it.
New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez praised President Joe Biden and his administration Friday, sharing that she’s been impressed with Biden’s invitations to work and collaborate with progressive lawmakers.
“One thing that I will say is that I do think that the Biden administration and President Biden have exceeded expectations that progressives had,” Ocasio-Cortez said during a virtual town hall. “I’ll be frank, I think a lot of us expected a lot more conservative administration.”
Ocasio-Cortez, a vocal member of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, also said Biden’s willingness to collaborate with more progressive members “really impressed” her, and despite areas of disagreements, the administration’s conduct has been “not just in good faith but active incorporation of progressive legislation,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
“Biden announced that he plans to cut emissions by half by 2030,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that two years ago it was almost unthinkable to think that Joe Biden would be making an announcement like that.”
This part of his statement is prescient.
“I think what we’re going to see is how was it that he got all those people out without them being killed by the Taliban,” Moore said. “Without a single plane being shot down. How did he do that, and while he was doing it, increased the food stamps to all the poor of this country, cut child poverty in half? So many things happened during this last month because we’re consumed with Afghanistan, the fact that he eliminated college debt for all disabled Americans. So if you’re disabled, your college loans have been just forgiven during this time of chaos in Afghanistan. There are so many little things like that, and we don’t talk about them. But I think you know he should get the credit for this because he had the guts to say no. That’s the end of this. He had the guts to do it. Nobody else had the guts to do it. And he’s a badass in that way that he will just do what he thinks is right, and he will do what he thinks is the moral choice.”
Of course, it is the job of Progressives to keep pushing. We must let him know when his moral compass (read voting rights, etc.) needs adjusting.

Is this a direct quote by Egberto Willies?
Progressive political action is the life force of democracy. Beginning with the preamble and explained in the papers of the founders, the idea is to continually develop the laws, rules, and regulatons that suit society in its ever-changing condition. Legislating would be a much easier process if we could avoid the thinking that we are still in 1776 CE and keep our constitution in agreement with current societal demands.
We have to end the effort of Christianity to replace the democratic constitutional republic with the laws of a god most of us do not recognize. We are not a theocracy. Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, et al, are theocracies. We can watch those examples of theocracy and recall how the Christians operated in the middle ages to remind us that we don’t need or want religious extremists running our country.
I did not support Biden in the primary. I do now because. However, he can get the job done without continuing to give out passes to fossile fuels industry, church, and GOP. He needs to expand the Supreme Court, get rid of the filibuster, call for the prosecution of Trump and that cabal, and get rid of all religious ties to government, beginning with prayer breakfasts, etc.
