Fox News’ Peter Doocy thought he had a zinger. Instead, Jen Psaki handed him Trump’s ass on the responsibility for the virus.
Jen Psaki let Peter Doocy have it.
As soon as I heard the question, I knew that Peter Doocy would have Trump’s ass handed to him.
“A lot of talk about the first Trump/Biden debate today,” Peter Doocy first set up what he expected to be a gotcha question. “But at the second one in 2020 when roughly 220, 000 Americans had already died of COVID, Joe Biden said about Trump, anyone who is responsible for that many debts should not remain as President of the United States of America.”
And then came the silly question.
“Is that still the standard now that more Americans have died under President Biden than President Trump?” Doocy asked.
Jen Psaki was ready. Doocy gave her the opening to put the spotlight directly on Trump. She reminded him that an infected Trump was so irresponsible, he went to one debate infected with COVID. He became a super-spreader, and he simply botched our COVID response.
Instead of leaving the COVID issue strictly under the Biden administration, Doocy allowed her to flip it as a COVID referendum on Donald Trump.
