Why aren’t Democrats fighting like hell for the good they do instead of quitting

February 2, 2022 By Egberto Willies

Democrats should not be quitting a Congress they expect to lose. They should lean into policies that ensure that they will win.

Democrats: Lean into your values

Watch Politics Done Right TV here.

The Democrats continue to fail to go on the offensive. It is concerning. Democrats need not spend any time defending their political positions. They must assert their positions.

It is Republicans who should be on the defensive.

  1. Tag Republicans with allowing COVID-19 to get out of hand because of a president who would kill some of his own because he believed said behavior enhance his possibility to win.
  2. Tag Republicans with the do-nothing tag as they played no part in fixing the infrastructure they are now bragging about. Blast ads that illustrate a party out of touch with the needs of their constituents.
  3. Tag Republicans with the pain millions of Americans see every day from the tax credit to the poor and middle-class they refuse to support.
  4. Tag Republicans with refusing federal dollars already allotted to insure their citizens. In Texas alone, that lack of insurance kills more than 2000 people every year.

If we are explaining, we are losing. If we are on the defensive with our success, we are losing.

We explain nothing. We campaign like winners. We qualify every attack with the corresponding attack on Republicans deficiency on the same or similar issue. After all, truth and morality are on our side. They will ultimately change their tune, seem out of touch, and lose.
