Jen Psaki illustrated the ignorance of many in our mainstream media by showing the shallowness of this reporter. Unfortunately, this reporter represents the norm.
Jen Psaki did so much with this response
After watching this and reanalyzing it, I wondered if this reporter understood the depth of her shallowness that the exchange with Jen Psaki exposed.
The reporter seemed to be objecting to the Biden administration advising Americans to leave Ukraine.
“We don’t know if Putin has made up his mind.” the reporter said. “Why are we hearing this morning from Jake Sullivan that Americans should get out, ideally within the next 24 to 48 hours specifically? I don’t believe you’ve heard that window before,”
Jen Psaki replied that if Russia invaded, it would present difficulties in getting Americans out because of the uncertainty. Remember that these are the same reporters that gave President Biden a hard time for how Afghanistan got evacuated. Like then, his administration is advising Americans to leave.
The reporter then said this was the second evacuation under Biden. Psaki interjected. She said it was not an evacuation. She said it was not a country that we were at war with where there were tens of thousands of troops fighting for 20 years.
The ignorant reporter wanted to double down on her statement that it was the second time the administration had asked people to leave a country. And that is when Jen Psaki went off.
“We urged American citizens to depart Kazakhstan,” Psaki said. “We urged American citizens to depart Ethiopia. This is a responsibility that the State Department and our diplomat diplomats who are serving there and serving around the world take on to keep American citizens safe. And it may not be front and center on the news in the United States, but those are conflict areas in zones where we are constantly monitoring.”
The reporter continued to display her shallowness, stating that Afghanistan and Ukraine were the two significant events under the Biden administration. Psaki then schooled her.
“I would say the people in Ethiopia would differ with that,” Psaki said. “As with the people in Kazakhstan or other parts of the world where they have been under dangerous circumstances. And they look to the United States to provide up to date information of their safety and security in the country.”
