I asked Thom Hartmann, host of the #1 Progressive Thom Hartmann show his thoughts on Ukraine/Russia/Putin. He said the dog caught the car.
I think Thom Hartmann hit the nail on the head.
Thom Hartmann visited Politics Done Right to discuss his new book “The Hidden History of Big Brother in America: How the Death of Privacy and the Rise of Surveillance Threaten Us and Our Democracy,” which is quite a take on the subject all should read. I could not help but ask him his take on the Ukraine crisis and Putin.
“I think Putin is the dog that caught the car,” Hartmann replied promptly.
I asked him to explain further.
“Well, you know, he thought he was going to take down Ukraine, and you know, went yapping after it and didn’t realize that it was as big and powerful as, you know, the dog meat cart kind of thing,” Hartmann said. “And now he’s in deep trouble. I think this is probably going to be the end of his presidency, whether he destroys Ukraine and conquers it and kills Zelenskyy or imprisons him or not. I think his goose is cooked. I really do. Don’t you?”
I agreed completely. In fact, I said as much on one of my programs.
Thom pointed out that the Russian army was ill-equipped with cardboard gear and other pathetic incompetencies. He pointed out the memes online showing armor made of egg cartons.
Well, so much for the big bad Russian army. Maybe the generals should invest less in yachts and more in protecting their troops if they know a mad man would send them to fight an unnecessary war.
