Senator Brian Schatz (D-HI) destroys Senator Josh Hawley on the Senate floor for holding up Biden appointees with a righteously vicious attack.
Brian Schatz did not hold back!
It can be disheartening when one sees the generic congressional poll that shows Republicans are up by about two points as of this post. The mainstream media blames inflation, the price of oil, and many other issues that are important.
The reality is that with near full employment, higher wages, an infrastructure bill, and much more, Republicans leading with nothing to offer is a dereliction of duty of the media and the Democratic messaging.
If more Democratic politicians went at Republican politicians the way Brian Schatz decimated Josh Hawley on the Senate floor, I am sure more Americans would be tuned in and more responsible with their votes.
Brian Schatz exploded on Josh Hawley for blocking nominees until Secretary of Defense Austin quits.
The Senator first points out that Josh Hawley was a January 6th insurrectionists sympathizer.
“He is blocking the staffing of the senior leadership at the Department of Defense,” said Schatz. “And this comes from a guy who raised his fist in solidarity with the insurrectionists.”
And he reminds us that Hawley wanted to appease Russia.
“And this comes from a guy who, before the Russian invasion,” continued Schatz. “Suggested that maybe it would be wise for Zelensky to make a few concessions about Ukraine and their willingness to join NATO.”
And he reminds Hawley that he voted against Ukraine aid.
“This comes from a guy who just about a month ago,” Schatz said. “Voted against Ukraine aid. He’s saying it’s going too slow. He voted no.”
And Schatz did not forget to ding Hawley for exonerating Trump after he withheld lethal aid for Ukraine.
“Spare me the new solidarity with the Ukrainians and with the free world, “Schatz shouted. “ “Because this man’s record is exactly the opposite. I yield the floor.”
