Professor points out that Russia using nuclear weapons has an inconvenient precedent

April 18, 2022 By Egberto Willies

Many are concerned that Russia might resort to nuclear weapons. The professor points out that they may even use the United States as a precedent.

Professor: The U.S. as nuclear weapons precedent?

Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

Today a discussion that many news programs discuss worldwide but rarely make it into mainstream media discussion took place today. The United States might need to address its past if Russia used nuclear weapons.

Jose Diaz-Balart asked Professor Nina Khrushcheva if she believed Russia would use nuclear weapons. Her answer should give us pause.

“The conversation about this has been going on for a month,” Professor Khrushcheva said. “We know that. But we also see that the Russians essentially [are] escalating all the time. And even when they didn’t escalate, this still ends up; they end up escalating. So I don’t know. I cannot predict that. But I would not really exclude them from where we are. The unfortunate possibilities — I hope it doesn’t come to this — but it is possible that tactical nuclear weapons, the way it was used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 by the United States, potentially once again not a prediction, not even knowledge but potentially, potentially may happen.”

While this is scary, unfortunately, it is something we better get ready for sooner than later. Most importantly, we need to be humble and realize that while we consider ourselves “warring” benevolent, the other side of the world does not always see it our way.

On a personal note, when Bush invaded Panama in 1989, he killed 10,000+ Panamanians to get a dictator who decided not to follow the commands of the CIA. As we try to do good, we better find a way to atone for what we have done and doing many times to our right here in America.
