Two young progressives call out the Democratic establishment’s ineptitude as they demand action.

June 27, 2022 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Recently @YasminV interviewed two young progressives, Julianne D’Eredita & Zoe Warren. They did not hold their punches as they exploded about the tepid response from the Democratic leadership to the SCOTUS attack on women.

These two progressives are forcing Democrats to fight

.Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

The two young progressive women complained that the only thing they got from the Democratic party after SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade was a request for $15. Warren was upset because “my right should not be a fundraising point for them,” Warren said.

Warren said that Democrats had had multiple opportunities to codify Roe v. Wade into law over the past 50 years. She said if they keep campaigning on abortion, they should do something about it.

The pair hit the internet since the organizations they work for also requested donations for the cause. Unfortunately for the shortsighted, it is not an apples-to-apples comparison. And Warren’s statement was apropos. While she actively works for the reason, the politicians raising money for it have been feeble, incompetent, and ineffective.

D’Eredita said that while she was not surprised, she was concerned that the ruling put many other long-fought-for-rights in jeopardy. She worries about same-sex marriage, interracial marriage, and privacy in the bedroom. She said they would fall like dominoes given Clarence Thomas’ statements.

But D’Eredita’s closing statement should grip any human who cares about women, their mothers, sisters, cousins, aunties, grandmothers, etc.

“We need to be calling on the Biden administration, the Senate, the Congress, whoever can help us,” D’Eredita said. “We don’t care who. We don’t care how. But abortion needs to be ratified into U.S. law. It needs to be a fundamental right that all women in this country have — no sanctuary states. No, some women have access, and some people get funding to go. Every woman in this country needs her inalienable right to bodily autonomy because right now we have less bodily autonomy as women than corpses do.”

Having engaged young women like Julianne D’Eredita & Zoe Warren is what it will take for us to win. The establishment has failed. We need engaged activists and leaders. It’s time for a refresh.
