It is hard to believe the responsibility I feel to elevate Republican Representative Liz Cheney in our consciousness. I’m afraid I disagree with her politics and social and economic policies. But without a Democratic country, we would not get a chance to debate. Thank you, Liz.
Liz Cheney appeared at Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. During her speech, she not only went after Donald Trump but those Republican leaders who appease him.
“At this moment, we’re confronting a domestic threat that we have never faced before,” Liz Cheney said. “And that is a former president who is attempting to unravel the foundations of our constitutional republic. And he is aided by Republican leaders and elected officials who’ve made themselves willing hostages to this dangerous and irrational man.”
Cheney continues to go after Trump and his Republican enablers. Polls do not look good for her reelection. But after the testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson, an aide to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, one hopes that her fortune improves.
