Matt Gaetz likely was not expecting Fmr. VP’s Chief of Staff Marc Short’s response to him discounting a Pence presidential run — Gaetz in prison in 2024?
Does Matt Gaetz get shade?
When watching Matt Gaetz on stage, it is hard to believe how troubled he is or how much trouble he is in now. Recent performance is probative.
“Let me just say what everybody here knows,” Matt Gaetz said in a recent speech. “Mike Pence will never be president. Nice guy, not a leader.”
The former Vice President has been doing the political circuit. It is clear he intends to run. He is even endorsing candidates opposing Donald Trump. We will see how that turns out in Arizona, where he is supporting a moderate candidate for governor while Trump, of course, is endorsing the MAGA-2020-election-denying candidate.
Mike Pence’s former Chief of Stadd did not take kindly to Matt Gaetz’s comments. He let the childish congressman have it.
“Well, I don’t know if Mike Pence will run for president 2024,” Marc Short said. “But I don’t think Matt Gaetz will have an impact on that. In fact, I’d be surprised if he were still voting. It’s more likely he’ll be in prison for child sex trafficking by 2024. And I’m actually surprised that Florida law enforcement still allows him to speak to teenage conferences like that. So I’m not to worry about Matt Gaetz.”
It is just a time before the alleged pedophile is no longer a threat to teenage girls, civility, and the country. Hopefully, former President Obama is right that the fever is breaking.
