I had a very long interview with former CNN Host Rick Sanchez on many Latino-related issues. The answer to the last question deserved a segment on its own. Here it is.
The all-encompassing interview will be publicly released after it airs on Pacifica Network’s KPFT 90.1 FM and other networks. Subscribers to our YouTube channel can watch the entire interview here (https://youtu.be/9xe45qXTktI).
Rick Sanchez has a message of professional rebirth
Rick Sanchez is an Emmy Award-winner who was the host of the number one daytime show on CNN and the first U.S. Latino to host a national newscast (“Rick’s List”). He was canceled for a quote-on-quote mistake when describing the lack of diversity in the news media. As memes, tweets, and pundits piled on the damage of a few poorly chosen sentences, it took only hours before Sanchez’s career would come to a screeching halt. And this was before the cancel culture was in vogue.
Rick Sanchez founded and is President/CEO of Agua Media. Agua Media produces podcasts for the U.S. Latino+™ community by offering a wider angle view of conversations, storytelling, and interviews through the lens of New Mainstream Latinas and Latinos. From current events to true crime, horror, lifestyle, and humor, Agua Media also provides a much-needed platform for both podcast listeners and podcast creators who make up the New American Mainstream.
