WOW! Watch Andrea Mitchell school troglodyte George Will on why Biden invested in charge stations

September 14, 2022 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

It is hard to believe that George Will is oblivious to the failure of the private sector to protect the environment. Andrea Mitchell called him out.

Andrea Mitchell recently discussed the election and other matters with ultra-conservative commentator George Will on her program. She cut away to show President Biden test-driving electric vehicles. The president was also touting the infrastructure bill that created charging stations in dozens of states. As one would expect, George took an exception to the government investing in charging stations.

“There were 8 million cars in this country in 1920,” Will said. “There were 20 million in 1930 — explode across the land. They all found gasoline. How did they do that? The private market provided gas stations instead. In the modern age, we have to have an enormous multi-billion dollar plan to build charging stations for electric vehicles, which are supposedly wonderful things. But we’re bribing people to buy the vehicles. And then we’re building the gas station equivalent, the electric charging stations for it. Why?”

George Will will be dead and gone if where the full damage of his troglodyte conservatism destroys the planet. The man does not realize that the government’s encouragement of Americans to buy zero emission cars and build the charging infrastructure proves that those who run the private sector lack the intellect and morals to do the right thing. In other words, the private sector is a failure without the government present to cover its ineptitude and sole desire to enrich the powerful and the few.

Thankfully, Andrea Mitchell answered George Will even if less aggressively than she should.

“Well, why is the climate change,” Andrea said. “And why is, you know, how short a period of time we have to try to do something to ameliorate it and get people off of fossil fuels. California is going to do it by 2035.”

George Will came back with the same old crap about the government not working. He even insulted her by telling her she had been in Washington too long. Shame on him but kudos to Andrea.
