Obama is back! He destroyed the current crop of Republicans with some inconvenient truths.

October 30, 2022 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Former President Obama did not mince words as he went after Republicans in an offensive posture on the economy/inflation, crime, women’s rights, gay rights, crime, and much more.

Obama was firing on all cylinders.

Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

The video clip is a must-see for every Democratic politician and their spinners. I removed the pauses, breaks, and applause to isolate the message. What comes out is a compelling narrative every Democrat must sing from now to the last hour of the election.

The former President was at times funny as he ridiculed the Republicans. His message sounded like a polished version of Bernie Sanders’ narrative. Obama pointed out that inflation is a problem, but Republicans do not have a real answer.

“So inflation’s a problem. What is the Republican answer?” Obama asked. “Look, I mean, if they had a great answer, that’d be one thing. You know what? Their big economic policy is? They want to gut Social Security and Medicare and then give big tax cuts to the wealthy and the most successful corporations in the world. That’s their answer for everything. Back in 2008, 2010, inflation was low. Unemployment was high. What was their answer? It’s cuts for the wealthy and cutbacks on Social Security and Medicare. It doesn’t matter what the problem is.”

Obama then had some fun with the Republicans’ lack of vision.

“Listen, if there was an asteroid heading towards Earth and we got everybody in a room that said, what are we gonna do?” Obama said. “I think we should cut taxes for the wealthy. No, that’s not going to help you. How’s that going to help you? It’s great. I guess if you only have one answer to every economic problem.”

The former President then pointed out what Democrats did and will do.

“The Democrats have an actual plan to take on drug companies to get lower prices, to get the oil industry to clean up its act, to pass laws to make housing more affordable,” the former President said. “Leaders like Gretchen Whitmer are working to make sure cars are being built, and high-tech manufacturing is being done right now in Michigan instead of China. That’s an actual plan, and that’s the choice in this election. That’s what this is all about.”

Obama pointed out that the crime rate increase started under Trump and that the Red States had a crime problem as well. I wish he had pointed out that murder rates in the Red States are 40% higher than in the Blue States. That would have been a more neutralizing message. But he did make it clear that flooding society with guns is clearly responsible. Moreover, most Republicans did nothing to pass the new gun bill.

The former President also made it clear the Republican Party was anti-Democratic. He clarified that Republicans would remove a woman’s bodily choices, same-sex marriage, and much more. In other words, individual freedoms depend on electing Democrats.

One had to love the stump speech both in substance and tenor.
