Obama did not pull his punches as he called out Arizona’s Republican Candidate for governor Kari Lake. We know what can go wrong if you install an empty TV star.
No one can break it down like President Obama.
While campaigning for Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and Arizona Governor Candidate Katie Hobbs, President Obama had a profound statement about Hobbs’ opponent Kari Lake. Lake was a former local Fox station host and is very polished. She is Trumpian without intellectual and speech defects. But she shares the same grift and moral flaws.
“If we hadn’t just elected someone whose main qualification was being on TV, you could see maybe giving it a shot,” Obama said about former local news anchor Lake during a rally for Democrats in Phoenix on Wednesday.
“What’s the worst that could happen?” Obama asked, knowing the answer. “Well, now we know, it doesn’t just work out just because somebody’s been on TV.”
In other words, when are we going to get serious about the governance of this country? Have we not learned enough already from electing personalities? Reagan gave us voodoo economics morphed into supply-side economics. Trump gave us an international health and economic catastrophe.
