Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) was not kind to his party, the Republican Party. He made it clear that the GOP is not the party of the future in its current state. There was much more in his inferences throughout the interview.
Republican Congressman strikes his party again.
CNN’s Dana Bass did not mince her words with the leading question,
“What does it say about the future of your party, the Republican Party, that Marjorie Taylor Greene and people like her are kind of ascendant,” Bass said. “And the Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheneys of the world are no longer in the Congress.”
Adam Kinzinger did not flinch. He went straight for the jugular as he described his party.
“It says to me that the Republican Party is not the future of this country unless it corrects unless there’s a change,” Kinzinger said. “Because I got to tell you, if you think of a successful America in 20 years, that’s not going to be in America based on what Marjorie Taylor Greene wants or based on what some of these radicals want. The only way this country can succeed is if we learn to work together.”
Based on the level of MAGA entrenchment, a new Conservative Party is likely the only option. Maybe the Republicans will create the transition to a genuine multiparty democracy as opposed to this failed duopoly.
