Jonathan Karl had a message for Senator Lindsey Graham. The Senator is a hypocrite for sucking up to Saudi Arabia after claiming MBS must be punished.
Lindsey Graham called out on Saudi Arabia’s MBS
Senator Lindsey Graham is one of those senators that seem to believe that journalists won’t do their jobs to call him out when he lies or when his vile hypocrisy reemerges. Jonathan Karl called out Graham today.
“Senator, you were just in Saudi Arabia. You met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, MBS as he is known,” Jonathan Karl said. “But I remember how highly critical you were of him after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, The Washington Post columnist. Let’s take a listen to what you had to say back in 2018.”
Karl then played a litany of clips where Graham made the following assertions.
- “I can never do business with Saudi Arabia again until we get this behind us.”
- “I’m not going back to Saudi Arabia as long as this guy’s in charge.”
- “The crown prince is a wrecking ball. I think the behavior before the Khashoggi murder was beyond disturbing. And I cannot see him being a reliable partner to the United States.”
Graham is attributing his change of heart to women driving. And, of course, the real part was that they were buying a lot of stuff from us, including stuff made in his state, like the Boeing 787. Money and capital trump all.
