Buttigieg soft-scolded the media for polls showing Americans unaware of Biden’s economic successes.

July 5, 2023 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Pete Buttigieg, the Biden Administration’s Transportation Secretary and likely their best spokesperson, soft-scolded the media in a recent interview on CNN with Dana Bash.

Pete Buttigieg, the best WH spokesperson.

Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

Dana Bash asked Pete Buttigieg why Americans believed the economy wasn’t as good as it is. Pete Buttigieg used the question to tell the audience the reality of the economy. He touted that more jobs were created than ever. He pointed out that inflation is falling and manufacturing is increasing in the United States.

The Transportation Secretary then goes into the dirty little secret. The Right is taking advantage of many Americans who are so busy existing that they are gullible. He made it clear that Republicans voted against their constituents.

“Obviously, a lot of effort and a lot of money goes into negativity to try to get people focusing on other things, like some of the things that that we’re talking about in the culture wars that certain figures are bringing to the fore again and again, “the secretary said. “I think because they don’t want to talk about the economic work that they’re doing. And they certainly don’t want to talk. If we’re talking about House and Senate Republicans, why they voted no on the infrastructure package? The majority of them, although we appreciate the Republicans who crossed over to work with us. You know, most House and Senate Republicans and state legislative Republicans didn’t want to be dwelling on why they said no to $35 a month caps on insulin or any of the other issues that are really affecting people.”

Pete then soft-scolded the media.

The other thing I’ve noticed in the way these things get digested in the public and in the media is when something is unambiguously good,” the secretary said. “It gets dramatically less attention.”

So what is the solution to that neglect?

“That’s part of why we’ve been hitting the road to highlight the really good work that’s going on, work that’s going on in terms of long-term infrastructure improvements,” Buttigieg said. Short-term successes, too, like the work that Governor Shapiro led in Pennsylvania with partnership from our department to get I-95 back up and running in record time after it was taken out in a fiery and tragic crash. These are the kinds of problem-solving that, frankly, there are some folks in Washington for sure who don’t want to talk about that.”

Again, Secretary Buttigieg is the best spokesperson for the administration.
