CNN’s Dana Bash held up her own with the thug-in-chief’s attorney, John Lauro. He tried to use her network to redefine the indictment, and she bucked him at every turn.

Donald Trump‘s attorney appeared on every Sunday Morning News Program. Amazingly, every single one of the major networks did not allow John Lauro to spin them without pushback.
Lauro is attempting to make the Trump indictment a freedom of the press case. Dana did not allow him to get away with it. She played a piece by Trump’s former Attorney General, Bill Barr, where he pointed out without a doubt that Trump’s indictment has nothing to do with freedom of speech. Lauro’s only comeback was that Barr had not read the indictment.
Lauro attempted to put a narrative into the ethos that this was an investigation directed by Joe Biden. He claimed that Biden said he wanted Trump investigated. He was likely referencing the New York Times article “Garland Faces Growing Pressure as Jan. 6 Investigation Widens,” where in a private conversation, the President said what most thinking people know, Trump attempted a coup and is a threat to our Democracy.
The attorney general’s deliberative approach has come to frustrate Democratic allies of the White House and, at times, President Biden himself. As recently as late last year, Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, according to two people familiar with his comments. And while the president has never communicated his frustrations directly to Mr. Garland, he has said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action over the events of Jan. 6.
While the news host could do much better in debunking the Trump lying machine, it is great to see their attempt. Keep it up.
