Earlier today Angela Box released the following statement on her Facebook page.
Angela Box issued the following statement today regarding the action taken by the Houston Independent School District:
I will deeply miss my students at Ray K. Daily Elementary School. These early years of growth and learning are a magical time, and I will always treasure the moments I had with each of them.
Unfortunately, the character assassination I suffered at the hands of Quannel X, the New Black Panther Party, The New Black Muslims, and others ruined any chance of continuing this journey with my students. His false statements and threats of violence made the situation at my school simply impossible for everyone.
As I have said before, opposing President Obama and sounding the alarm about radical Islam does not make me a racist. I did not make the statements containing the racial epithets Mr. X attributed to me, as he has since admitted.
However, the damage to me has been done.
I am considering all my legal options regarding the conduct from Mr. X and others. I expect to have an announcement as early as next Monday regarding my future steps.
Angela Box resigns

ABC13 reported the following.
HOUSTON (KTRK) —
Angela Box will continue her weekly appearances on a public access show called “Tommy’s Garage.” Her job as a teacher at HISD’s Daily Elementary has ended. The decision was hers.A resignation agreement was unanimously approved Thursday in executive session by the school board. The terms of the offer were not disclosed. We are told, however, that it includes a modest pay out. Her departure took effect today.
Ms. Box was not present. The resignation offer was made by her attorney. Board member Wanda Adams called it beneficial for both sides.
Box had been criticized for her role on “Tommy’s Garage,” which is promoted as an alternative to political correctness. Among her comments were remarks about Muslims. The show’s producer says they’re directed at those who attack America. Groups like CAIR took it differently.
I invited Angela Box to my radio show Politics Done Right to have a civil interview/discussion that could show that folks at opposite sides of the political spectrum could engage in civil dialogue. She was receptive to the idea but said she needed to contact her lawyer. Stay tuned.
