Occupy Kingwood – A Sustainable Form Of The Occupy Movement (2012-11-10)

Picture001.jpg

We owe Valerie Schwab Dunn a ton of gratitude for being the videographer for the week’s Occupy Kingwood (2012-11-10). She got some very good interviews from our regulars. Dr. Theis and Professor Davis provided two very different outlooks to President Obama’s reelection. Interesting enough their observation complement each other as ultimately their implicit conclusion is that we must actively retake our democracy. Dr. Theis believes that President Obama will succumb to Republican extortion by severely hitting our safety net, social security and Medicare. Professor Davis stresses that we must execute differently, than we did during President Obama’s first election. In other words it is up to us to demand what we want. COME ON OUT AND JOIN US. WE ARE FRIENDLY AND HAVE FUN AS WE ENLIGHTEN OUR COMMUNITY. LIKE My Facebook Page Follow @EgbertoWillies … [Read more...]

Occupy Kingwood VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL This is our 46th week of Occupy Kingwood. It is the week before the election and some folks are a bit nervous, some do not care, and some think it really does not matter who gets elected. I personally believe it does matter for inasmuch as both parties are corporate control, one party’s policies are in fact much better for the middle class than the other. That said some believe that it is only when a third party exerts enough pressure that we … [Read more...]

Occupy Kingwood VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL This Occupy Kingwood would be a special one. But I will get to that a little later. Today we got into a lot of discussions about the Green Party and whether it effectively diluted the Progressive vote in such a manner that it allowed Right Wing policies to get traction by having a unified and solid voting bloc. I believe that is the case but I got a lot of pushback from many. I maintain that in order for Progressives to move forward will … [Read more...]

We engaged her and encouraged her to speak up on issues especially because as a teacher she is much more … [Read more...]

Occupy Kingwood VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL Week 40 completed. We had a wonderful Occupy Kingwood today. We had the dual informational occupy. Valerie’s Un-occupy women was well attended. In fact she stated that a Conservative Republican lady parked and came to talk to her. The lady was happy to see a group taking up this issue. It is probably unlikely that she would join the group but she came and thanked the group for standing up for women. As usual we had different folks give … [Read more...]

Occupy Kingwood VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL Today was a great Occupy Kingwood. The morning started out cool. Even when the sun came out the slightly cool breeze made it comfortable. Well, we completed our 39th week of Occupy Kingwood. We had our now normal split with Valerie and some of the women branching off into the un-Occupy Women movement. When I went over to get a few pictures and messages from the ladies I extended my stay for two reasons; it was shady and cool and we were … [Read more...]
