Call a spade by its name: It is a War On Women instituted by GOP policies.

April 19, 2012 By Egberto Willies

*

My good friend and iReporter Omekongo is taking exception with the phrase the War On Women in his iReport “I declare war on the “War On Women!”. I must completely disagree. I replied with my own iReport “Call a spade by its name: It is a War On Women instituted by GOP policies”. In fact even my good friend uses the phrase “war on” to accentuate his exception to the phrase proper.

The genesis of this movement did not come out of the air. It was a direct result of Republican policies partially written by ALEC that materially affect women’s health, women’s lives, and women’s financial outcomes. I can enumerate law after law that for all practical purposes make the direction of Republican social policies tantamount to the same woman controlling policies of the Taliban.

I am inviting my friend to attend the Unite Against The War On Women Rally in Washington DC.

· For women and men in Houston Texas and surrounding areas, GET ON THE BUS with us to our state capitol in Austin Texas on Saturday April 28th.

· For those throughout Texas find your information. For other cities in Texas get information here or here on Facebook.

· For those around the country visit here.

Remember folks those that allow themselves to be disrespected are, those that allow themselves to be taken for granted are, and those that do not fight for their rights get no rights. Get involved and take our country back.
