When will we stop believing the cliché “Guns do not kill people? People do”? We need a new one. Guns do not kill people. Policies allowing people to use guns indiscriminately do.

Our second topic will be about issues concerning Citizens United and the defeat of the DISCLOSE Act in the Senate by a Republican filibuster. Short of a constitutional amendment, what short term actions can we take to ensure transparency in politics?
