Shutdown Fallout: Rush Limbaugh Says GOP Irrelevant, Political Disaster (VIDEO)

October 16, 2013 By Egberto Willies

Shutdown Fallout

The government shutdown fallout has started. The shutdown fallout has not been very kind to the GOP. Democrats are watching the self-destruction of the Republican Party.

ABC World News With Diane Sawyer put it best a few minutes ago.

What did it accomplish? It delayed clinical trials for research. Curbed school lunch programs. Put 800,000 federal workers out of work. And reeked havoc on tourists and the business who depend on them. …

What has it actually cost the American taxpayer? By one estimate $24 Billion.

So much for fiscal responsibility. This bunch is a clear and present danger to the country. Finally traditional media and the Republican Party proper are letting the Right Wing Tea Party Republicans have it.

When you have lost Rush Limbaugh it means you have really gone over the deep end as he is pretty extreme. Rush Limbaugh said, “I was trying to think earlier today, if ever in my life I could remember any political, any major political party being so irrelevant. I’ve never seen it. … What they’ve ended up doing is creating one of the greatest political disasters I have ever seen in my lifetime.”

The Houston Chronicle editors who endorsed Senator Ted Cruz, general of the GOP Civil War, is now rethinking their choice. They said,

When we endorsed Ted Cruz in last November’s general election, we did so with many reservations and at least one specific recommendation – that he follow Hutchison’s example in his conduct as a senator.

Obviously, he has not done so. Cruz has been part of the problem in specific situations where Hutchison would have been part of the solution.

Republicans  John McCain, Kelly Ayotte, and Peter King came out strong against these thugs as well. The video below is a compilation of Republicans that is rather probative. Where were these voices before this calamity.

Government Shutdown Fallout

While the President and Democrats were successful in not acquiescing to these hostage takers, it has hurt many fellow Americans in the pocket book.

Unfortunately the hurt did not only occur in the US. China suggested that the world start building a de-Americanized world. The shutdown fallout has hurt the country’s seriousness around the world. There was nothing patriotic about those that shut the government down.
