Fox News Megyn Kelly’s Duggar interview to shows a family’s callous disregard of reality (VIDEO)

Telling snippets of the Duggar Interview

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly used a soft style in the Duggar Interview that allowed the Duggars a certain comfort in exposing their callousness and hypocrisy. Last night Lawrence O’Donnell criticized Megyn Kelly with the statement, “The Duggar family has a new defense lawyer. Megyn Kelly just guided them through the easiest interview they could possibly have faced.”

Lawrence may not have seen the interview in its entirety. There are two ways to get information out of an interviewee. One can batter them into accidental revelation of truth or one can coax the information. Megyn Kelly coaxed not only information out from the Duggars, but a tone that illustrated not only hypocrisy and callousness, but quite a few other insights into the lives of folks that share their distorted view of the world.

Firstly the Duggars repeatedly redefined sexual molestation and harassment as improper touching. Jim Bob was quick to point out that Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation was not rape.

The sexual molestation occurred many times before the Duggars addressed Josh Duggar as a habitual problem. What Jim Bob had to say when revealing the sexual molestation to the friends in their circles was shocking. “As we talked to other parents and different ones since then,” Jim Bob Duggar said. “a lot of families have said that they’ve had similar things happen in their families.” Rampant juvenile pedophilia? What do they teach these folks in their churches?

Megyn Kelly appropriately called out the Duggar’s hypocrisy. “What the critics are going for is that you shouldn’t have been preaching about moral values when you had a secret like this in your own family,” Megyn Kelly said. “That you should be calling other people sinners when you yourselves are sinners.” There response was to use Mike Huckabee’s defense of them. “It’s been recently said,” Jim Bob said. “that what Josh did was inexcusable but it was not unforgivable.”

Megyn Kelly also called out Michele Duggar specifically for making robocalls suggesting transgender people were child molesters knowing she had had a child molester within her mist. Michele gave an incoherent response. Jim Bob inserted that she said pedophiles and not child molester. Megyn later asked if Josh was a pedophile. Jim Bob gave the legal definition and said no. Josh was a “child preying on a child.”

No one listening to this interview could come away with a positive view of the Duggars. Their false morality is rampant on the Right. They want to “save” the blastocyst and the unborn but not the living young or old. They want to expose and control everyone’s sexuality while they secretly hide their proclivity for the same or worse. They want forgiveness, yet are generally very punitive. Exposing and purging the Pharisees that they are is a requirement to heal our nation.
